This stunning engagement or wedding ring features a generously sized 8mm, 10.5mm, 12mm or 14mm hearts and arrows cut moissanite solitaire stone, set via four claws into the elegant 950 grade hypoallergenic platinum ring, complemented with a further twelve 1.9mm moissanite shoulder-set accent stones.
Moissanite has emerged as a leading alternative to diamond, and possesses superior refraction and dispersion properties. When cut correctly, high quality D colour moissanite is almost indistinguishable from diamond, and is very durable, measuring 9.25 on the Mohs hardness scale, second only to diamond at 10.
Orgones moissanite stones are lab-grown, have a colourless D grade, and are expertly cut to the highest standard of hearts and arrows, maximising light return, fire and brilliance.
The main stone has been independently verified by the Global Gemological Research Academy in Hong Kong for colour, clarity, cut, polish, symmetry and fluorescence. The certificate is provided with the purchase, and the certification number is laser inscribed on the girdle of the stone.
The ring is certified in accordance with the hallmarking Act 1973. This is a legal requirement in the UK, and includes four small logos laser-inscribed on the ring, forming the Convention Hallmark: the Orgones mark, the platinum Common Control Mark, the platinum purity/fineness mark and the Assay Office Mark.
Included in the purchase is a hallmarked low-cost replica made using the highest grade AAAAA cubic zirconia stones and 925 sterling silver, ideal for use in any situation where there is a risk of damage or loss to the main ring.
We also offer these stunning rings in Charles & Colvard moissanite, as well as in 8mm (2ct) lab grown diamonds, and make matching earrings and pendants in this style.

Diamonds are some of the most well-known and most sought after gemstones, and have been revered for centuries for their unique combination of sparkle, durability and supposed rareness. The high dispersion and refractive properties of diamonds result in brilliance and fire. These, along with precision shaping and cutting of the facets to reflect light back out of the face of the gemstone are responsible for the distinctive sparkle.
Until relatively recently, there hasn’t been any genuine alternative to diamonds for premium jewellery gemstones. Cubic zirconia has a relatively high dispersion of light, but lower refractive index than diamond, and crucially a much lower hardness, resulting in stones that aren’t tough or durable. This restricts their application to mostly costume jewellery.
Moissanite was discovered in a crater by Nobel-Prize winner Doctor Henri Moissan in 1893. It’s extremely rare in nature, but laboratory production was started in the 1980s, with the first near-colourless moissanite jewellery produced in the late 1990s. It wasn’t until 2015 that the first colourless D grade moissanite was produced.
Achieving a colourless grade was the final piece of the jigsaw for moissanite to become established as a genuine diamond simulant. Moissanite has a higher refractive index, and a much higher dispersion of light than diamond, resulting in more brilliance and fire than diamond, and every other known precious stone in the world. Moissanite is exceptionally durable, much harder than a steel file, and at 9.25, is second only to diamond at 10 on the Mohs hardness scale.
Clear, high quality moissanite is almost indistinguishable from diamond to the naked eye. One way to tell the difference is under 10x magnification, when viewing the cutlet through the crown bezel facet, moissanite displays an optical effect called double refraction, and diamond doesn’t.
With superior brilliance and fire, excellent colour, sparkle and durability, and produced at a fraction of the cost of diamond, high quality moissanite is a genuine alternative to diamond for premium jewellery gemstones.

Cut quality is the most important aspect of moissanite and diamonds. Colour and clarity differences are generally subtle or negligible to the naked eye, but otherwise identical stones look completely different if there is a big difference in cut quality. Diamonds with a superior style of cut began to emerge in Japan in the mid-1980s, before appearing in America in the early 1990s. They exhibited very good physical symmetry, cut to specific ideal proportions, and were cut to a very high degree of three-dimensional optical symmetry, producing a distinct pattern of 8 arrows when viewed from the top, and 8 hearts when viewed from the bottom.
Optical symmetry is achieved by ensuring that all matching facets are uniformly sized, and line up perfectly with their counterparts on the opposite side of the stone. When facets are perfectly aligned in this manner, light return is maximised by bigger virtual facets, with a brighter appearance, increased contrast and better scintillation.
The exceptional cut quality required to achieve the hearts and diamonds patterns, combined with ideal proportions results in a superior grade of diamond sometimes referred to as super-ideal. Together, these maximise the sparkle, brilliance and fire of the stone.
Despite the superior performance, less than 1% of the world's diamonds are cut to this grade, as more raw material and three times the labour is required. It is often more lucrative for cutters to maximise the carat weight of the raw stone.
Colourless D grade moissanite has only been commercially available since 2015, but lessons learnt from the optimal cutting of diamonds have quickly translated to moissanite. Moissanite naturally has more brilliance and fire than diamond due to a higher refractive index, and higher dispersion of light. When cut to the exceptional standard of hearts and arrows, the performance and beauty of moissanite stones is simply stunning.
Hearts and arrows cuts can be inspected using special viewing tools such as ASET scopes, Hearts&Arrows scopes and Idealscopes.

Both the ring and the main stone are independently certified by third-party grading laboratories before we dispatch the order. This ensures that both the stone and the metal forming the ring you receive are exactly as advertised.
The main stone has been independently verified by the Global Gemological Research Academy in Hong Kong for carat, colour, clarity, cut, polish, symmetry and fluorescence. Additional data recorded on the certificate are detailed proportions and clarity characteristics diagrams.
The physical certificate is provided with the purchase, and the certification number is laser inscribed on the girdle of the stone.
In addition to the physical paper certificate and the corresponding laser inscription on the stone, the certification number can be verified by entering it on the Global Gemological Research Academy's website at gra.hk/check
The ring is certified in accordance with the hallmarking Act 1973. This is a legal requirement in the UK, as it is illegal to sell or describe any item as Gold, Silver, Platinum or Palladium unless it is hallmarked.
Hallmarks on all our platinum pieces include five small logos laser-inscribed on the ring, forming the Convention Hallmark: the Orgones mark, the platinum Common Control Mark, the platinum 950 purity/fineness mark, the Sheffield Assay Office Mark and the date mark.
The maker’s mark (now called sponsor’s mark) for Orgones is the letter O inside a diamond symbol, and the assay office mark is Sheffield’s Rose emblem.
The replica ring’s hallmark is exactly the same, with the silver Common Control Mark, the Sterling silver 925 purity/fineness mark in place of the platinum versions. The AAAAA cubic zirconia stone on the replica ring is not certified.

We use solid platinum as the metal in all our jewellery pieces, one of the strongest, most durable metals in the world. This is independently verified to be at least 95% pure, and bears a UK hallmark certifying the metal to be 950 grade platinum.
Platinum naturally has a beautiful, bright, silvery appearance, and doesn’t fade, tarnish or wear down over time. It’s denser than gold, and twice as dense as silver. When platinum is scratched, very little volume is lost, with the metal being displaced rather than dislodged. Any scratches form part of a desirable patina that can easily be re-polished back to as-new condition if desired.
Most alternative metals involve a plating process that is liable to wear down, fade or tarnish over time and require re-plating. Several other metals gradually wear off onto the skin and can cause skin irritation. Platinum is classified as hypoallergenic and non-reactive, ideal for anyone with skin sensitivities.
Platinum’s natural luster enhances gemstones set with it, and its strength and durability enables it to last a lifetime and be passed down through generations.

We include a low-cost replica ring with all ring purchases. This is made to the same high standards as the main ring, but using the highest grade AAAAA cubic zirconia for the stones, and UK hallmarked 925 sterling silver for the metal. This is ideal for use in any situation where there is a risk of damage or loss to the main ring.
The other advantage of the replica ring is that it will be dispatched immediately, as long as the size is within our standard sizes for this ring, which are 15.4-18.35mm inside diameter (J-Q½ UK, and 4⅝-8¼ USA).
The replica can be used to check fitment, and if it’s not a perfect fit, correct fitment measurement at a jewellers is advised. If the fit isn’t perfect, the replica can be sent back to us, and a correctly sized replica will be dispatched while we commence preparing the main ring to the correct size. The main ring is typically dispatched approximately 3-4 weeks after exact fitment size is confirmed.

We offer a customisation or bespoke service for all our rings and jewellery. If our offerings aren’t quite what you’re looking for, please contact [email protected] with images, photos or sketches of your idea, and we’ll get back to you with a price and lead time.
Customisation options include:
Design – adjust our designs, or we can create a unique new design with your inspiration.
Moissanite stone colour – choose from black, blue, yellow, green, red or purple.
Moissanite alternative round cut styles – choose a different cut styles to hearts and arrows, such as Single Eight-cut, Swiss Sixteen cut, Rose, Old European, Star, Passion, Zircon, Magna, Portugese, Jubilee, Star 129, Needle Brilliant, Solasfera or Trap Brilliant cuts.
Moissanite alternative shapes to round – choose from Cushion, Square Brilliant, Oval, Baguette, Pear, Radiant, Emerald, Heart, Triangle, Marquise or Trillion shapes.
Metal alternative to platinum – we strongly recommend platinum 950 for the metal, but alternatives to choose from are brushed platinum 950 (instead of polished), rhodium, 14k yellow gold, 18k yellow gold, 14k rose gold, 18k rose gold, 14k nickel white gold, 14k palladium white gold, 18k palladium white gold or palladium, all of which are available in polished or brushed finishes.
Engraving – have a special message laser-etched onto the underside of the ring. This would significantly affect the resale value.
Please note that any customising or personalising of pieces is classified as bespoke, making them ineligible for return. The replica ring for any bespoke piece will be dispatched with the main ring. Bespoke pieces generally take around 4-5 weeks to dispatch, and we retain all rights to the design.
It’s really important to check and double-check the required ring size before ordering. This can be challenging if you don’t know the ring size and the ring is a surprise, such as for an engagement, anniversary or birthday.
The ideal way to definitively know the ring size is to visit a jewellery shop and get measured. Most jewellers will offer this service for free, but some may ask for a small charge.
An alternative is to take a ring to a jeweller that is known to fit well, so they can determine the ring size.
If you are unable to determine the ring size you can make a rough guess based on the average UK ring size for women being around 16.10mm (UK: L, USA: 5½).
This varies from country to country though; in the USA the average ring size for women is around 16.92mm (UK: N, USA: 6½).
The guess can be estimated around the average sizes based on whether you think the finger size is smaller or larger than average.
We include a replica ring with all ring purchases. As long as the size isn’t outside of our standard sizes for this ring, which are 15.4-18.35mm inside diameter (J-Q½ UK, and 4⅝-8¼ USA), the replica will normally be dispatched to you immediately. The replica can be used to check fitment, and if it’s not a perfect fit, correct fitment at a jewellers is advised.
If the fit isn’t perfect, the replica can be sent back to us, and a correctly sized replica will be dispatched while we commence preparing the main ring to the correct size.
Please note that our rings involve relatively large stone weights, which will rotate on the finger if too loose. A correctly sized ring should slide onto the finger relatively easily, and feel slightly tight or snug. The ring should be slightly harder to remove.
All our rings are made using the internal diameter of the ring in millimetres to two decimal points. A full size chart showing the diameter in mm, and the corresponding sizes for UK, Australia, USA, Canada, France, Russia, Germany, Japan and Switzerland can be seen below. Please see here for a printable PDF version.
Please note that sizes outside of our standard sizes are custom-made, and classified as bespoke, making them ineligible for return. For non-standard sizes, the replica ring will arrive at the same time as the main ring.
For rings within our standard sizes, the replica ring will typically be dispatched to you immediately. The main ring will be dispatched approximately 3-4 weeks after the size has been verified. For orders outside of our standard sizes, both the replica and the main ring will be dispatched together, around 3-4 weeks after the size has been verified with a sizing ring. Delivery in the UK is typically 1-2 working days after dispatch, and worldwide delivery is typically made 2-4 working days after dispatch.
Our unique process of using replica or sizing rings prior to dispatching the main ring ensures that the main ring will be a perfect fit. We appreciate that time is of the essence with some proposals or gifts, so this process enables the surprise proposal or gift to happen with the replica, without having to first wait 3-4 weeks for the main ring to arrive.
Please see below for an overview of each of the 6 stages of the order process, and please get in touch if you require clarification regarding any of this.
All orders are sent discreetly within the UK and Europe, with no mention of the contents on the outside of the package. For orders sent outside of Europe, or anywhere in Europe requiring customs clearance, customs documentation on the outside of the package will describe the contents.
Jewellery is presented in high quality ring, earring or pendant boxes, and loose gemstones are presented in transparent circular plastic holders with foam inserts.
All orders are insured for damage or loss in transit, and are thoroughly packaged to withstand the rigors of the transportation networks.
A low-cost replica is supplied with all our rings. This is much more cost effective to repair or replace, so we advise wearing the replica in any situation where there is a risk of damage or loss, such as swimming, vacations, sports, exercise and manual work.
We recommend taking the jewellery to a jeweller for professional cleaning about once a year.
Ultrasonic cleaners can be used with all our pieces. Cleaning can also be carried out by soaking the piece in a jewellery cleaning solution, or soap and water, and scrubbing with a brush such as a toothbrush.
It’s imperative to keep any certifications received with your purchase in a safe place. The certification along with the identification number laser-inscribed on the stone proves the authenticity and quality of the gemstone.
It’s advisable to explore insurance options for valuable jewellery. This may be covered with building contents insurance, or may require taking out insurance specifically for jewellery. Any appraisal or valuation may value the replacement cost at more than the purchase price, as we offer very competitive prices.
If you have any concerns about your purchase, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We’ll do everything possible to ensure you are happy.
We offer a 12 month warranty on all our jewellery, covering the rare and unlikely occurrence of manufacturing faults or defects. Please note that the warranty excludes normal wear-and-tear or accidental damage, but we are happy to quote for these kinds of repairs.
If you are unhappy or have changed your mind about the purchase, we offer a 60 day returns policy from the purchase date. Please contact us for further details, and a return authorisation number. The item must be returned to us in an untampered, unworn, pristine condition, complete with all original packaging and paperwork. Upon receipt, we will carry out a detailed assessment before offering an exchange, full refund or partial refund if parts are missing or damaged. Please note that bespoke, engraved or resized jewellery is not returnable, and is excluded from our returns policy.
